A Pakistani minister who remains in debate because of his statements. He has again given a disputed statement. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has given an irrational statement on tear gas shells fired at the protesters. He said the tear gas canister had not been used for some time, so it was tested on protesters.

Reportedly, speaking at a function in Rawalpindi on protest from the activists, he said that a small number of tear gas was used on the protesters, not more. According to newspaper reports, the rally of government employees took place on Saturday. Around 1,000 tear gas shells were fired to disperse the protesters. The protesters were demanding that the government increase wages in line with inflation. The exhibition was hosted by the All Government Employees Grand Alliance. He said that he will sit outside the secretariat until the government takes a proper decision on it. There were also clashes between protesters and security personnel. The government later acceded to their demands.

Minister Rashid said that leaving tear gas shells is not really a problem but to increase salary. At a time when the country’s economic situation is poor, increasing the salary will put a huge burden on the state exchequer. He also said that

Prime Minister Imran Khan has done a lot to get Pakistan out of the Corona epidemic. For this, the Prime Minister has joined hands with the army to wage jihad. Referring to the PDM Rashid, Rashid said he would welcome it if he respected the country’s constitution and if the protesters believed it. He also said that the opposition will not have any problem if it is within the scope of the constitution. But if he comes to Islamabad and protests outside the constitution, he will have to bear the consequences. They will come here ten times, but they will be sent back each time.
