Inhuman face of China surfaced again, 5 country’s water hit by dams, 70 crore affected

The inhuman face of China has once again surfaced. China has stopped the flow of the Mekong River into Southeast Asia by building large dams.

The inhuman face of China has once again surfaced. China has stopped the flow of the Mekong River into Southeast Asia by building large dams. Dragon’s move has sent shocks through Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. The Mekong River Commission on Friday expressed concern that the river’s water level was reaching dangerous levels. The move has affected about 70 million people from five countries.

The Mekong River forms an important waterway on the Thailand-Laos border. But the lack of water has made it difficult to operate the boat here. The reason for the flow to stop is that the water of the Mekong River, which used to look dirty blue earlier, has now become blue. This is all due to the closure of the Jinghong Dam in Yunnan Province, China.

The Mekong River Commission said that the main reason for the lack of water is the lack of rainfall in the area of China’s large dams and tributaries. Vinay Vongpimal, director of the technical support department at the Mekong River Commission Secretariat, said the water level in the Mekong River near China’s Jinghong Dam has dropped dramatically. Such fluctuations are directly affecting the lives of 70 million people.

Satellite photographs of US-funded Mekong Dong monitors also show fluctuations in water flow from China’s Jinghong Dam. The agency releases satellite images to monitor the flow of rivers in Asia. China promised to share data from the demo last year with MRC member countries Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, but it never materialized.

The Mekong River is the lifeline of 70 million people in East Asia. Media in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam have published several reports on drought in the country. China’s dam has been blamed for the drought. China has been found to use 47 billion cubic meters of water from the Mekong River for its hydroelectric projects and irrigation.
